REMINDER! Next weekend is your opportunity to learn about all the careers the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office has for you in our One-Stop-Shop-Hiring and Recruiting event. It’s happening on July 19 from 4 - 7 p.m. and July 20 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Sheriff Al Canon Detention Center at 3841 Leeds Avenue. Participants need to fill out an application for the job they are interested in, either a Deputy Sheriff or a Detention Deputy. Then, at the event, applicants will be able to complete other requirements to be hired at CCSO. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the Nelson-Denny Reading Test, the Physical Ability Test (PAT), a polygraph, and interviews with CCSO leaders. The deadline to register is this Monday, but same-day registration will be available. Those interested can register ahead of time with the link below. Last week, Charleston County EMS proudly graduated 21 students from its comprehensive 14-week Emergency Medical Services Academy.
