Happy National Disability Independence Day! Celebrated annually, today is the anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in 1990. The ADA prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities and guarantees their civil right to access education, transportation, employment, and more. The legislation was enacted following more than three decades of dedicated advocacy by disability rights activists. July is also Disability Pride Month. We implore everyone to celebrate the history, achievements, and goals of the disability community. This month is also an excellent opportunity to learn more about the diverse experiences of people with disabilities and work together to create a more equitable world for all! #LifeAtCF #CFBetterTogether

We are proud to announce a new carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) project at our Yazoo City, Mississippi complex. We expect this project to reduce carbon dioxide emitted into the atmosphere by up to 500,000 metric tons annually — equivalent to removing the emissions of nearly 100,000 homes each year. To accomplish this, we've partnered with ExxonMobil to transport and sequester the CO2 in permanent geologic storage. We expect sequestration to begin in 2028. CF joined the Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI), a program created to boost diversity in STEM and provide scholarships to students at HBCUs. We're excited to welcome seven FOSSI students to our summer career exploration program. These students will explore STEM careers at CF, experience our corporate and plant environments, and develop leadership and professional skills. During their first week at our Northbrook office, students were introduced to our business and culture. Students will spend the remaining six weeks at CF sites to gain insight into our operations. To fully unlock hydrogen as a clean energy source, we must overcome the challenge of transporting it over long distances. Low-carbon ammonia offers a solution to this problem.

We're excited to announce our collaboration with POET, the world’s largest producer of biofuel and a global leader in sustainable bioproducts, to pilot the use of low-carbon ammonia fertilizer to reduce the carbon intensity of corn production and ethanol. “Fertilizers manufactured with a lower carbon intensity provide a quantifiable and certifiable method of decarbonizing bioethanol inputs," says Bert Frost, executive vice president of sales, supply chain and market development at CF Industries. DYK: CF Industries limits water usage across all locations to steam generation, cooling water for our operations, and as an additive in products such as aqua ammonia and DEF.  In alignment with proactively addressing our water impact, we reuse each gallon of water in our cooling and steam processes approximately 30 times. We are committed to meeting water quality standards and regulations for our discharges.
