This summer, CreateAccess, the nonprofit Liz Dailey and I started, is teaching 3D creation to 40 11th and 12th grade students in partnership with Launchpad Philly. They are learning how to create 3D models using their phone and photogrammetry; how to model with solids; how to build experiences in Unreal Editor for Fortnite; and, by the end of tomorrow, they will know more about creating keyframe animations than me. Within a couple of hours the students start to see results and build confidence and, by the end of summer, I can't wait to see what they will have produced. The developers and users of the federal community have been instrumental in advancing and adopting 3D Tiles for interoperable massive 3D geospatial data. We were thrilled to host 70 folks from this community for the inaugural 3D Geospatial Technical Exchange Meeting at Cesium in Philadelphia where industry and government shared their latest work and got to know each other. I was there in spirit (and video!) as I was visiting military bases with JCOC. Thanks to everyone for making the trip to Philly and we look forward to an even bigger event next year.
