Sheila has been actively engaged with CEWD for several years and has been a major contributor to the breadth of our service expansion. Nominations for the 2024 Impact Awards are now being accepted! Help us recognize workforce development excellence that is taking place in communities across the country by recommending deserving nominees by September 30. What consortium should be honored for the Consortia Game Changer Award? What about the Workforce Champion Award - who should we honor as a selfless "do-er" who is making a lasting impact? Our newest recognition, the Tom Kuhn Veteran Leadership Award, will allow us to salute excellence for the good work companies are doing to recruit and welcome vets into the industry. And our Chair's Award, CEWD's highest honor, recognizes outstanding workforce development leadership by an industry employer. So much passion, persistence, innovation, and action to celebrate!

Thank you to Dominion Energy for hosting CEWD’s Member Services Manager, Christina Marshall, at the Possum Point Power Plant! She toured the facility and saw first-hand the processes for power production, demolition and recycling of former power units, learned about the importance of water quality before, during, and after usage at a power plant, and learned from the sites Engineer and Water Quality Expert about why they choose the Energy Industry.
