What good business read has been on your nightstand for a bit that you need a reason to make time for? Listened to a book on tape recently that you found riveting? Let's keep the welcome wagon going, shall we? We are excited to welcome four of CEWD's newest directors: Melanie Berman of NiSource, Regina Elbert of Dominion Energy, NextEra Energy, Inc.'s Melissa Miller, and Daniella Piper, PE of New York Power Authority. How lucky are we to add such talent to our Board of Directors? How fortunate is the industry to benefit from their leadership?

Please join us in thanking Vivek Arora of SAM for his engaged, visionary, and committed leadership of CEWD as its chair for the past two years and his service on CEWD's Board for four years before that. It takes a special servant-leader to give as much of himself for the greater good as Vivek has. His leadership has made a difference for CEWD, the industry, and most especially countless individuals whose lives have benefitted from workforce development programming that has led to energy sector employment. Please drop a #thanks below. #CEWD #energyworkforcedevelopment #boardservice

Thank you to Dominion Energy for hosting CEWD’s Member Services Manager, Christina Marshall, at the Possum Point Power Plant! She toured the facility and saw first-hand the processes for power production, demolition and recycling of former power units, learned about the importance of water quality before, during, and after usage at a power plant, and learned from the sites Engineer and Water Quality Expert about why they choose the Energy Industry.
