The Center will be hosting a webinar in collaboration with the All Hazards Training Center at University of Findlay focusing on the All Hazards Approach to Safety in Manufacturing on July 23 at 9 AM. Presenters will cover various topics including: confined space training, hazardous materials, OSHA, active shooter training, and emergency response planning. Following up from connecting in the spring at a Japan-America Society of Central Ohio event, Center Executive Director, Tim Mayle and The University of Findlay Professor, Hiro (Findlay) Kawamura recently visited THK Manufacturing of America. Their products support the semiconductor and auto industries. We love it when higher education can support manufacturing!

Today Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jon Husted, and Director Lydia Mihalik announced Northwest Ohio is the first recipient of an Innovation Hub investment. This investment will bring together industry leaders in glass and solar, higher education and economic development to develop new technology, manufacturing processes, and research.
