What an amazing experience at the JCK Las Vegas event! The warm reception we received was truly heartwarming, especially after both Zaudy Miranda, MSHRM, GIA AJP and Sonia Chavez had been out of the industry for a short period. In 2022, Sonia took the plunge and founded The CAZA Collective. Inspired by her Latin heritage, the name ‘CAZA’ means ‘hunt’ in Spanish, reflecting our relentless pursuit of top talent. Initially, our plan was to leverage our broad recruitment experience, but an "aha" moment changed everything. When Sonia brought on her former GIA (Gemological Institute of America) colleague, Zaudy, as her business partner, Zaudy recalled the struggle to find specialized recruiting resources in the gem and jewelry field. This realization made it clear that we could fill that void and focus on this unique industry. That's when we started to build momentum. When we knew JCK was coming, we just had to be there! We were in awe of the response we received when we shared our story. We heard so many encouraging words like, "we appreciate what you are doing to help the industry," "there is such a great need for your services in the industry," and "we love what you are doing." We felt incredibly welcomed and inspired, which reinforced our decision to cater our staffing and recruiting services exclusively to the Gem & Jewelry Industry and its sectors.
