Sometimes getting the support you need takes up so much time, energy and resources that you end up worse off than when you started. That's why CASES is committed to creating services that are easy to access, including in-person offices near transit hubs across the city, mobile behavioral health programs, and telehealth services. Because what good are social services if you can't access them? #SocialWork #AlternativesToIncarceration #MentalHealth #YouthDevelopment #Access #Leadership #NYC Jonathan McLean

Yesterday, CASES held a ribbon cutting ceremony at our brand new offices in the South Bronx. Now, our clients who live and work in the Bronx have a one stop shop for accessing pretrial, mental health, and youth programs. Greater coordination between programs = higher quality service for our clients. Thank you to our clients, staff, partners, and especially New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, New York State Office of Mental Health, NYC Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice, NYC Administration for Children's Services, the office of New York City Council Deputy Speaker Diana Ayala, Ponce Bank and all of our supporters for joining us to celebrate. Our support for court-involved New Yorkers with mental illness doesn’t stay within the courtroom – CASES Court Services team provides mobile outreach and engagement to meet our clients wherever and whenever they need us. Every day, CASES peer specialists like Gabriel Madrigal meet with clients at shelters and street corners to connect them with the resources they need to engage in treatment and safely stay in the community before their trial. Donate to CASES before June 30. https://lnkd.in/er7Hbki3 #BreakingCyclesBuildingFutures #AlternativesToIncarceration #TreatmentNotJail #CourtServices #Pretrial #MentalHealth #SocialWork

Individual healing only works when families and communities are healing too. CASES offers a range of mental health services to youth and their families to prevent the lasting harm of early criminal legal system involvement. Today we're speaking out at the New York City Council to demand more community-based programs to support our young people, not more incarceration. #TreatmentNotJail #YouthDevelopment #FamilyTherapy #MentalHealth #AlternativesToIncarceration #RacialJustice #EconomicJustice
