Carrfour Supportive Housing has an opening for Vice President of Finance Title: Vice President of Finance FLSA Status: Exempt Job Summary: The Vice President of Finance (“VP Finance”) oversees all financial and accounting activity of Carrfour Supportive Housing, Inc. (“Carrfour”) and its affiliates. Carrfour is the largest not-for-profit affordable housing developer in Florida. The VP Finance serves as a key member of the leadership team and reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This position establishes systems for financial controls and regulatory compliance and is responsible for all accounting, tax and financial reporting functions, budgeting and cash management. The VP Finance shares in oversight of real estate financing and also provides leadership in planning and policy development. Qualifications: · At least 7 years of experience in a financial leadership role, preferably in affordable housing or real estate industry · Bachelor of Accounting or Finance required · CPA or comparable advanced degree preferred · Ability to work within a very diverse workplace and environment · Experience with affordable housing programs such as LIHTC and HUD a plus. · Strong communication, administration and organizational skills · Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to supervise and motivate staff · Strong analytical and problem solving skills Please submit your letter of interest, resume and salary requirements to Liz Garcia via email at [email protected] by July 30, 2024

Senator Jonathan Martin and Senator Lauren Book joined Ron Book, Chairman of the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust, in touring Carffour’s Northside housing community to learn about supportive housing and witness its transformative impact on adults living with mental illness. Northside, an 80-unit housing community, provides stable, quality housing for individuals overcoming long histories of residential instability.

Southwest Hammocks Achieves NGBS Gold Certification! Energy Cost Solutions Group (ECSG) is excited to announce that Southwest Hammocks, located in Pembroke Pines, FL, has achieved NGBS Gold Certification under the National Green Building Standard (NGBS) 2015. This prestigious recognition highlights the outstanding coordination, teamwork, and commitment to sustainable design and construction practices by everyone involved. Southwest Hammocks is a 3-story affordable housing development featuring 100 units in a mix of studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom residential floor plans. The project also includes ground community spaces, a pool, and fitness amenities. Throughout the entire design, construction, and NGBS certification process, ECSG and the project team meticulously implemented a range of green building initiatives. These efforts included energy efficiency measures, improved water conservation strategies enhanced indoor air quality system and the incorporation of sustainable building materials. These collaborative efforts significantly reduced the project's environmental impact and improved the building's indoor environmental quality for its new residences.
