CareSTL Health School-Based Health Centers are a powerful tool for achieving health equity for students in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Through this program, we partner with area school districts to provide healthcare to their students with the objective of providing students with much needed access to healthcare. Originally, only students were able to utilize The Husky Health Center but this fall services are expanding to serve the entire community! Thank you to the Ritenour School District for being valued partners in our mission to provide affordable care for all, and to all of the community stakeholders who attended this wonderful event!

CareSTL Health's partnership with Ritenour School District Adm was highlighted by Fox 2 after we took stakeholders on a Hard Hat Tour of the new location for the Husky Health Center! Originally, the Husky Health Center only served students of Ritenour School District, but moving forward, the center will be a health center providing quality healthcare services for the entire community; including families, district staff, and residents in this northwest area of St. Louis. Happy #FabFriday! This week we are celebrating our Executive Leadership Team and their recent meeting with the architects of HT Design to discuss specifications for the development of The Ville Wellness Campus. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication to this project and serving the community of North St. Louis. The Ville Wellness Campus will bring necessary services such as physical therapy, pediatric pulmonology, chiropractic services, expanded radiology services, gynecology, ophthalmology, cardiac care, STI Testing, and treatment programs, social services and drug abuse/addiction therapies to an underserved and historically African-American North St. Louis community. CareSTL Health is honored to announce a new partnership with Dana Brown Charitable Trust as a first-time grantee. We are pleased to have the organization support our school-based services in the Jennings School District. THE DANA BROWN CHARITABLE TRUST provides grants to organizations that support the health, education, and welfare of financially disadvantaged children. Our School-Based Health Centers provide healthcare to students attending local school districts, achieving the objective of providing students with much-needed access to care. Our program advances our mission of providing underserved communities with access to quality healthcare. It allows highly qualified medical professionals to address the broad range of concerns that affect students’ healthy development. This beneficial collaboration enables students to thrive in the classroom. We are thrilled by the Dana Brown Charitable Trust’s generosity!

Their dedication and innovation are driving transformative changes in our communities. 💪🏾 Meet Angela Clabon! Angela Clabon, CEO of CareSTL Health, has dedicated over 40 years to healthcare, rising from a Registration Clerk to CEO. She passionately advocates for health equity in North St. Louis and holds advanced degrees in Business Administration and Urban Planning. Angela is actively involved in numerous organizations, championing health justice and community wellness. Meet Tokiwa Smith! Tokiwa Smith, founder of SEM Link, has been a driving force in STEM education since 2005. Inspired by her own journey as a young Black girl excelling in math and science, Tokiwa's organization connects youth with diverse STEM professionals and engaging activities. With a degree in Chemical Engineering, she aims to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders. Meet Dr. Na’Taki Osborne Jelks! Dr. Jelks is a nationally recognized leader in the grassroots environmental justice movement. Growing up near “Cancer Alley,” she has dedicated her life to empowering communities facing environmental injustices and educating the next generation as a professor at Spelman College. 📆 Registration for #Give828 opened on Juneteenth.
