We are excited to share that Nurses for Sexual and Reproductive Health (NSRH), as part of the California Reproductive Health Service Corps (RHSC), is enhancing SRH education and training for healthcare teams across California. This initiative includes creating targeted education for medical assistants, doulas, paramedics/EMTs, community health workers, registered nurses, and licensed vocational nurses. To ensure their efforts are community-driven and impactful, they are inviting healthcare workers in CA to participate in a brief, 15-minute survey. “So we’ve got EMTs and paramedics all over the country who are doing the right thing by trying to work with patients to prevent unnecessary emergency department visits, but yet they’re not eligible for reimbursement" - Matt Zavadsky, PWW Advisory Group.
