The CARE Counseling team was honored to celebrate PRIDE month in June and connect with the community at the Twin Cities Pride Festival this weekend! The recognition continues as we enter July — Pride is celebrated every month, every week, and every day at CARE. Pride is about more than just one month. Pride is about feeling at home in the community, living everyday life as one’s authentic self, growing through difficult experiences, validating intersections, and so much more. Happy Disability Pride Month! As we move from #PrideMonth to #DisabilityPride, we're reminded that both Prides are a moment to be joyous and celebrate what makes us all intrinsically beautiful – our disabilities, our neurodivergences, our stories. Disability Pride is also a moment to reflect on where we’ve been, how we got here, who got us here, and honor what comes next. All month long, we'll be sharing ways to celebrate Disability Pride. You can expect stories and content by disabled creators, a webinar all about workplace disclosure from panelists with lived experience, and resources you can share and learn from. Disability Pride is about amplifying voices that have been systemically left out. Disability Pride is about creating a more accessible world. We are excited to share that our next cohort begins this September for the CARE Counseling Supervision Training Program! CARE is committed to providing effective and exceptional supervision and provides high quality training in-house at no cost to licensed team members at CARE. CARE's training has been board approved for 50 continuing education hours! Following the program, CARE team members will also be eligible to apply to become a board-approved supervisor.
