Now everyone’s talking about Ai*? Must be the POCUS thing. Not potus or hocus, far from bogus — NorVue helps doctors work WELL. *Ai Phi: Cardiologist, Entrepreneur, Agent of Change.

When we think about doctors, we often picture white coats and medical knowledge. But really, it’s all about the relationship between doctors and their patients. It’s about more than just diagnosing a problem - it’s about building trust, listening, and being there for people through some of their hardest moments. But what’s life really like for doctors behind the scenes? That’s what our new podcast is all about. We’re going to look into these doctor-patient connections and share real stories - how those conversations can make all the difference. We will share about the challenges, the little victories, and the powerful bonds that form along the way. Stay tuned, we’re excited to bring the human side of medicine to everyone! Thanks Eirik Brekka Tjoennfjord for being part of this journey! NorVue #ultrasound #echocardiography #pocus #mindsoverscrubs

What Is Love? Beyond a catchy “A Night At The Roxbury” hook, this question holds major weight —particularly as humanity transitions to a tech-powered reality. If the computers don’t understand what love is to humans & why it matters, it opens up many portals for adverse outcomes. But if they are able to learn this scientifically, mathematically & intuitively (to a degree—as algorithms lack the capacity for true intuition), positive outcomes abound. I recently hosted a contest on BlockBook asking this exact question, & we got many 1,000s of amazing responses (see them here: https://lnkd.in/eb4GhsJ2) & let the masses vote on their favorite submissions to recieve prizes including cash ($500, $200, $100 for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place), Blockbook swag, creator credits, viral exposure & more. The results are in! Per Blockbook: “Here are the winners: 1st place: We’re excited to reveal that the winner of the “What does LOVE mean to you” Spark is none other than BlockBook’s founder, Andrew Nocker (A.Nox on BB) 🔗https://lnkd.in/eEbiXTZ7 Andrew created BlockBook with one clear mission: to give creators a real opportunity to shine. As a musician & producer, he faced endless struggles trying to get his music noticed—sending countless emails to labels & brands, battling the closed-off nature of the industry. After years of building his own record label & licensing his music, he understood firsthand how difficult it can be for creators to break through—That’s why BlockBook was born: Andrew wanted to open a space where creators, fans, artists, & brands can connect directly & share their content, without traditional barriers. Winning this Spark isn’t just a personal achievement for Andrew—it’s a celebration of the mission that started BlockBook! And what better way to kick off this journey than with a Spark centered around love & connection? In the spirit of community, Andrew will be sharing his rewards with the next 5 runner-ups! Here’s the split: 100 USDC 200 Creator Credits (CCs) *we’ll announce these extra 5 winners soon. 2nd Place: A beautiful poem about ‘What does Love mean to…’ 👤smilingdibba 🔗https://lnkd.in/epsccf3P 3rd Place: A stunning visual showcasing what LOVE means to 👤Alex5i5 🔗https://lnkd.in/eWt36Kwp Congrats to all the winners, & thanks to the nearly 10,000 who took time to share their thoughts, art, poetry, songs, stories & other means of conveying what love means to them. All your responses will be foundational to teaching machines what love is, along with our 1,000s of love ambassadors worldwide (all data is randomized & anonymized). Wishing YOU a love-filled day ahead. If you have a post-contest thought on what love is, feel free to share it in the comments below. (The winning submission is below, music created by Andrew, video generated by Andrew using Midjourney).

We earthlings have a new moon - a second moon! We also have new tools to record the data from it, to generate videos about it, to share it, and more. I almost shared a 🎥 VC: @notme link to a video that was, frankly, underwhelming, but then I remembered that I had an AI tool that made the same type of videos instantly for free. So, although this video is only ‘standard’, may it serve as a use case for all the content creators out there who use other viral videos but would love to have their own. The tool I used for this one is: invideo I also share similar types of tools and opportunities weekly in my LinkedIn newsletter Tech For Good (https://lnkd.in/d6AT-8fG) in music, video, content creation, SEO, digital twins and beyond. Check it out and join the 181k subscribers (free) if you love it. Share your thoughts on our new temporary second moon, available new tech, and what you’re up to as well — as I often say, TOGETHER WE RISE! To those here to network, here are some incredible visionaries I highly recommend knowing (please tag your recommendations as well: together we rise): Lizzy Harris Brian Franco Denise Murtha Bachmann Robert M Jensen Mordy Levine Pete Ryan Mike Rubin, MD, PhD, CFA Sharon Kedar, CFA Dr Nik Tiffany Norwood David Kidder Colin House Nishkam Batta Ravi Mishra Lysann Geller Francois Paul Lambert Danielle Patterson Ai Phi Thuy Ho, MD Amne Suedi Nora Agbakhamen Okare Shaba Nusrat Zahan Kat Downen Andrea Sampson PJ Jackson Pete Schramm Daniel Gasser Tahmina Day, MBA, CERP Nicolas Mendiharat Bill Evans 🍽️Zack Oates🍕 Josh Wagner Bob Honadle Ashwin Krishnan Alexey Navolokin Senia Maymin, PhD Craig Bruce Greg Maged and more in the comments. Sometimes quitting a company that’s holding us back can be the best thing for our careers… especially if that company buys you back a few short years later for over 2 billion dollars! This is Noam Shazeer, former and now current Google employee, who quit contentiously in 2021 when Google wouldn’t let him launch his AI chatbot, citing safety and fairness concerns. He left to continue building his vision, which quickly turned into a unicorn as Character AI. As of this August, Shazeer has been rehired by Google as a VP overseeing their g-AI Gemini, and effectively sold the rights to his Character.ai to them as part of the massive $2.7B (billions!) dollar “rehiring” package. Perhaps AI will create more jobs than it takes away after all!! High paying ones at that. Notably, Mark Cuban also invested heavily into a company called CharacterGPT around the same time that Noam departed Google to start Character AI, and while both are still operational, they are not related (nor is CharacterGPT affiliated with OpenAI or ChatGPT). Also, since closed mouths don’t get fed, if any of my former employees wants to rehire me at at least $2B I’ll let you know I could be talked into it, although I really love what we’ve built and do at The Colab. #valuein30 #PR #aijobs #chatbots

Are we better off when we move fast or slow? Launching my “side hustle” podcast earlier this year, my friend Andrew Huberman offered the best advice: make sure you have your voice driving the podcast. With the encouragement of Dr. Kathryn Rexrode, and the Wyss Institute at Harvard University panel on women’s health that we did together two years ago following an invitation from Dr. Don Ingber, Innovate and Elevate launched in January 2024 .🚀 Lauren Popish and Gretchen Kuhsel produced and edited with grit and guts. Our own Liz Wuestling made sure that we were on point with our episodes. And we continue to have the support of the amazing Dr. Mike Rubin, MD, PhD, CFA. Some notables from the first 11 episodes: ✅Treat your body like you would if you were pregnant. 🤔Mice don’t menstruate. (What does that mean for women and hormone health?) 🧒Alice Tapper and my daughter Audrey talking candidly about medical misdiagnosis and the power of girls voices to speak up. Today, Wyss Institute at Harvard University recognized us as one of their favorite podcasts: https://lnkd.in/eWx_sv-D We are gearing up for Season Two. Please share thoughts and what you would like to hear about.🎧💡⭐️ 🎥: theshihtzusophie IG #NewPodcast #WomensHealth #InnovateandElevate

‘We have plenty of time to “get this right”, don’t we?’ may be the most dangerous question & view since “because that’s how we’ve always done it”. What you are watching at the moment are human skin cells that have been turned into a living, self-healing skin being controlled by a robot face to “show emotion”. This breakthrough, out of the University of Tokyo, is just one of many bridging the gap between humans and robots presently underway; we’ve seen human brain cells grown and connected to become supercomputers, 3D printed artificial human organs that human bodies accept biologically, machine learning capable of translating human thought into accurate digital depictions/representations… and much more. Jensen Huang says we are entering the next wave of AI — “AI embodied”; xAI/Tesla, Figure, and many more producers of androids (humanoid robots) are preparing for mass deployment of their minions. There will likely be millions amongst us by this time next year. These robots have the potential of being ‘indestructible’, autonomous, I possession of superhuman capabilities from strength to intelligence and beyond. They will always be as smart as the AI powering them — meaning when AGI is achieved within hundreds of days, any robot is able to be “twice as smart as Einstein” and “complete any task at least as well as a human”, but then also when ASI (superintellegence) is achieved, the robots can be up to TEN times smarter than Einstein, and better at anything a human could endeavor to do. This can all be NET-POSITIVE, or NET-NEGATIVE. But the time to establish and ensure that is NOW. We only will effectuate this together, with mass conversations and awareness around all of this. So THANK YOU for taking the time to read and resonate with this post. Don’t fall victim to defeatist or pessimistic mindsets, but also and equally please don’t turn a blind eye or deaf ear, or assume that everything will just “be ok”. In my assessment, blockchain and algorithm understanding of emotions and the human experience are existential. Please share your thoughts on the same. And do hold the frequency and vibration that everything certainly still CAN be ok, consistent with my mantra that together we rise!! 🎥 VC: Professor Shoji Takeuchi @universityoftokyo IG #techforgood #ai #ainews #robots #aiembodied #androids #robotics #singularity #tech4good #litrendingtopics #topvoices

Whether you’re a coffee drinker or not, we all have that little something that gives us a boost - whether it’s tea, juice, or just a moment of quiet. It’s not really about the drink; it’s about the pause, the comfort, and the energy we get to keep going. ☕️ Maybe it’s that warm cup in your hands or simply taking a break from the hustle of the day. Whatever your “coffee” is, it’s those small moments that help us reset and feel ready for what’s next. Upgrading the human operating system by cultivating superhabits, one life at a time, as Dean and Professor, Busch School of Business | Harvard University faculty affiliate | Superhabits author | Forbes contributor

Can we use our anger as a tool, or is that too risky? Gentlefirmness is the superhabit of channeling your anger to do good. It’s not a real word, but it should be. The real word used to be “meekness”, but that word sounds like “weakness” and it has come to mean something like it: submissive, unwilling to argue, easily bullied. Gentlefirmness is not like that. It takes the energy from anger and redirects it towards fixing what caused the anger in the first place. It’s not a midway point between gentleness and firmness. It’s maximum gentleness and maximum firmness, at the same time: the proverbial steel fist in a velvet glove. Anger arises when things aren’t going the way we think they should be going. The key is to figure out whether the problem is with how things are actually going, or with our expectations of how they should go. And then we use the energy of our anger to fix one, or the other, accordingly. Perhaps even if this dance works to reduce anger, we shouldn't do it, and use our anger productively instead. Good News on a Friday — but could this feel-good viral marketing stunt making everyone smile really be nefarious?🤔* So, good news abounds — this week held a lot of amazing (actionable) AI news, but first, the video is from the legendary Good News Coffee (Paris, Madrid, Amsterdam, Barcelona) where they ‘wouldn’t open the door’ for customers who didn’t smile (on Mondays for “Good Latte Monday” where they’d actually get a free latte if they did smile!). Talk about a RIPPLE EFFECT. Please, do yourself and world a favor & SMILE >right now<, it will release feel-good chemicals, if others see it it will likely inspire them (subconsciously) to smile as well, releases muscles that the week may have inadvertently made tense up in your face & put more goodness into this world. Individually we may be “small”, but our amplification component makes us HUGE. Together we rise! Now to some real NEWS that’s worth sharing (& I’ll get to the * but TLDR is NO, “but”…) OpenAI ChatGPT has some new capabilities that are really “that good” if you haven’t tried them yet; their “voice” mode is finally available & is really amazing – just TALK to your AI conversationally - no need to “prompt”, learn any user behavior et al & the result is a significantly enhanced outcome for most users. Also, their o1 model keeps impressing with its chain-of-thought reasoning which IS (in many’s assessments) a huge step toward AGI (artificial general intelligence; capable of 2X Einstein’s IQ); likely o1 voice Sora = ChatGPT5 — likely out this year. Also, Sam Altman says we’re now “thousands of days tops” away from ASI (artificial superintellegence, capable of 10X Einstein’s IQ). Please DON’T SLEEP ON THIS. In Meta news, their new Llama 3.2 is open-source, multimodal, available in all Meta products, & will sync with the new Orion glasses (Rayban partnership I’ve highlighted here before), that are a lightweight, affordable, functional, intuitive & hold massive potential. Also, Runway now allows for video-to-video generation, the first AI art museum is opening in LA, a new platform called hook.music allows for gamified music mashups, Replit (text-to-software supporting AI models & API calls) now has a MOBILE APP… & more. To stay in the loop of all things AI news, feel free to join the 180K subscribers at Tech For Good free weekly LinkedIn newsletter here: https://lnkd.in/d6AT-8fG. Finally, the * (“could this ‘feel-good’ viral marketing stunt making everyone smile really be nefarious”) — the genesis for the question is ‘could facial recognition data trained on public consumer data via video cameras be collected & monetized by businesses without their customers’ knowledge of consent’ & while this café is NOT doing that to my knowledge (they’re called Good News & ‘roast with good vibes’..), the reality is that many retailers likely are already recording & analyzing us. Thanks for reading this — have a great weekend! #techforgood
