Featuring a diverse collection of amazing artists who appear in ACL's golden Season 50, including Juanes, Jelly Roll, Gracie Abrams, Kacey Musgraves, Gary Clark Jr., Brittany Howard, and Maggie Rogers, we hope you'll see this electric bus rolling around town and be reminded why Austin is the 'Live Music Capital of the World.' Thank you CapMetro for inviting Workforce Solutions Capital Area to participate in the Transit Plan Stakeholder Workshop. 🎉 I appreciated the opportunity to share insights on what should be considered for Transit Plan 2035. A highlight for me was playing Transit Land, where I got to step into the shoes of a transit planner. 🚌 It really showcased how challenging it is to balance the diverse needs of a community with limited resources. #TransitPlan2035 #CommunityPlanning

Today, we remember Alfred Webb Senior, former ATU Local 1091 President and CapMetro operator. Mr. Webb’s accomplishments have improved public transit in Central Texas and include: • He began his career in 1970 under CapMetro’s predecessor, Austin Transit. • Served as the first Black President of ATU 1091 beginning in 1972. • Laid the groundwork for the first Extra Board for transit operators. • Negotiated the first provision for overtime and after 40 hours. Mr. Webb is survived by a large, loving family who continue to champion his incredible legacy as an advocate for our frontline men and women.
