Shōgun reigns supreme this morning for Emmy nominations and is making history! The series follows 'Squid Game' as just the second non-English-language series to be nominated in the best drama series category. The series also received double nominations in multiple categories (Supporting Actor, Cinematography, Best Writing, etc). In addition, all Japanese cast members nominated are first-time nominees individually and many are the first Japanese nominees in their respective categories in Emmy history (Masi Oka was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor for Heroes in 2007).

Sending congrats to our CAPE Leaders Fellowship alum Grace T. who is developing Carolyn Huynh's debut novel THE FORTUNES OF JADED WOMEN for television! The series centers on three generations of Vietnamese American women cursed to have daughters. Estranged from each other, they soon come together as a psychic's curse unravels: within one year, they'll experience a death, a marriage and a curse. Congrats to all involved!
