Lately I’ve heard two opposing views on reminding insureds to make payment. Take 1: We don’t remind our insureds to pay. If we miss a reminder, we open ourselves up to E&O. Take 2: We remind insureds to pay because if the policy cancels and there is a claim, they will ask “why didn’t you remind me?” Plus, it helps us retain our customers. Agency owners – where do you stand?
