Excited Can'd Aid will enhance sustainability efforts at the Healing Appalachia Music Festival this Fall and provide education & training for people in recovery. #sustainability #dogood #music #nonprofitleadership
Exciting news! Can'd Aid is thrilled to announce Healing Appalachia as a new Crush it Crusader! 🌟 Healing Appalachia, a 3-day annual music festival in Huntington, WV, is dedicated to supporting recovery and healing in a region impacted by the opioid addiction crisis. In 2023, they launched a successful recycling program, diverting nearly 6,000 pounds of recycling and compost from the landfill in its first year. To further support their sustainability efforts, Can'd Aid has awarded Healing Appalachia a Crush it Crusade Recycling grant. This grant will fund remote training, a Zero Waste skills development program, and help cover event staffing and hauling expenses in 2024. We're proud to support Healing Appalachia with this grant to enhance their recycling initiatives and create a lasting impact in recovery communities across the Appalachian region! 🌿🎶 Thanks to Ball Corporation for their continuous support to our Crush It Crusade program!
