Our sites have volunteered in their local communities, held a padel competition and an Around the World themed Safety Day, and welcomed Seamus White to the Cambrex Team supporting our partners in the UK and Ireland. As part of our video series, “A Different Brand of Experts,” we invite you to meet Kelly McGuill, Microbiology Analyst IV, based in Agawam, Massachusetts. Originally an environmental monitoring, safety and testing expert, Kelly pivoted to microbiology and now assists clients with compendium, release, and sterility testing, disinfectant qualifications, microbial limits testing, endotoxin testing, mycoplasma, and daily water testing. During her interview, Kelly shared, "We have to be very observant with the products that we test. Our job is to ensure we avoid contamination or false positives — both are costly and impact timelines. At Cambrex, our project managers are instrumental in the delivery of our services. We recently hosted our second annual Project Management Workshop in Charles City, IA, bringing together our PMs from Durham and Charles City. Together, the project managers reflected on the past year's best practices and lessons learned, while charting the next phase of our continuous improvement plan. It was a beautiful night for baseball. Cambrex is thrilled to announce the expansion of our stability storage business, Q1 Scientific Ltd., with a brand-new state-of-the-art facility opening in Durham, North Carolina by the end of 2024. This cutting-edge facility will feature: - 7 ICH stability chambers initially, covering a range of conditions including 2-8°C, 25°C/40%RH, 25°C/60%RH, 30°C/65%RH, and 40°C/75%RH. - -20°C and ultra low (-70°C/-80°C) storage conditions. - Phase 2 expansion will increase capacity to 20 chambers and 20,000 cubic feet of storage space. Strategically located in the Research Triangle Park (RTP), this facility will offer same day and next day delivery across the US, ensuring speedy and reliable service.
