Check out these great shots! This month, Caltrans crews began in-water work, including pile driving and beam placement on the Dr. Fine Bridge Replacement Project located at U.S. 101 in the Smith River area of Del Norte County. The in-water phase should be completed by October 2024 with construction on track to finish by the end of 2025. This project will replace the Dr. Fine Bridge over the Smith River on U.S. 101 north of Crescent City. Built in 1940, the existing bridge is near the end of its useful life. A new bridge will better accommodate vehicles, pedestrians and bicyclists. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gdW2cSUQ #DrFineBridge #US101 #DelNorteCounty #CrescentCity

⚠️ Slow Your Roll 🛑 Crews working on the shoulders or in closed lanes are at high risk of accidents. 🚧 Inattentive driving 🚧 Following too closely 🚧 Speeding All three are the top causes of work zone crashes, all of which are preventable. To ensure everyone's safety, please give them space and slow down when passing through work zones. Remember to move over and pay attention - it's the law! Let's work together to keep our roads safe for everyone. #MoveOver #BeWorkZoneAlert 🎥 Caltrans District 2
