#CaliforniansForAll Youth Jobs Corps is a program of California Volunteers, Office of the Governor. In partnership with local governments and community-based organizations across the state, the #CaliforniansForAll Youth Jobs Corps will employ young people to help tackle critical issues in priority areas: COVID-19 recovery, food insecurity, and climate action. Youth will be supported with a minimum $15 per-hour wage (and in many cities, more than $15/hour) and provided with essential wrap-around services like case management, resume preparation, special job training, and other benefits to help ensure both their short- and long-term success.

When asked about his journey, Ernesto credited Bay Valley Tech for equipping him with the skills and confidence needed to overcome obstacles and achieve his ambitions. Out of over 8,000 total service members to date, about 400 were either in foster care or transitioning out of it, and 702 have identified as justice-involved. The #CaliforniansForAll project includes other service programs, such as College Corps, which in its first year included 3,250 students from 46 California Community Colleges and state universities.
