“Can you imagine what this community would be like if every house here has what this house has?” Richmond Mayor and MCE Boardmember Eduardo Martinez kicked off our showcase of an all-electric home in Richmond that will soon be connected to our Virtual Power Plant. The smart appliances in this newly-renovated home (EV charger, electric water heater, solar, battery and more!) are all connected and respond to signals, helping customers save money when electricity is most expensive. A win for residents and California's grid! #WeAreMCE #NoPlanetB #CleanEnergy #VirtualPowerPlant

San Diego Community Power strives to drive #innovation in the #cleanenergy space — and today we were able to surround ourselves with innovation from across industries at Connect's annual Innovation Day! We connected with leaders in #sustainability, technology and more and shared how Community Power is working to pave the way to a #sustainable future for the San Diego region. Community Power CEO Karin L Burns and Jason Anderson of Cleantech San Diego also participated in a fireside chat, moderated by Community Power's own Lee Friedman. They spoke about innovation within #cleantech, and Burns was able to preview how our upcoming programs will create new opportunities for San Diegans to participate in a clean energy future.
