About us
The Center for American and International Law, or CAIL, is a nonprofit organization that has been dedicated to advancing the legal and law enforcement professions and improving justice worldwide for over 75 years. Through the work of our specialized institutes, such as the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration and our impactful Criminal Justice and Actual Innocence programs, we provide continuing education and professional development to lawyers and law enforcement officials in the United States and around the world. Our programs enable those who are tasked with protecting the rights of others to learn, collaborate, and engage in dialogue and the exchange of ideas about contemporary challenges. In doing so, we improve the justice system from within by elevating the standards for the legal and law enforcement professions. By fostering education, ethical practices, and international cooperation, CAIL promotes the rule of law, ensuring fairness, accountability, and protection of rights, which are fundamental to a just society.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔𝒕: CAIL Welcomes New Trustee George Fibbe and Honors Retiring Trustee Dee J. Kelly, Jr. The Center for American and International Law (CAIL) congratulates George Fibbe, partner at Baker Botts in Houston, on his election as a new trustee and welcomes the re-election of seven trustees. Fibbe, a respected attorney with deep experience in the energy sector, fills the seat of retiring trustee Dee J. Kelly, Jr., Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP, who has been a vital member of the board since 2006. Fibbe brings a distinguished background in private practice and government, notably serving as deputy general counsel for the U.S. Department of Energy. His ongoing contributions to CAIL’s Institute for Energy Law (IEL) as an executive committee member and speaker have been instrumental in advancing IEL’s focus on renewable and sustainable energy. CAIL extends heartfelt thanks to Dee J. Kelly, Jr. for his years of dedication and leadership. Following in the legacy of his father, Dee Sr., who joined CAIL’s board in 1985, Kelly’s roles as vice chair and executive committee chair have profoundly shaped CAIL’s mission. His contributions will leave a lasting impact for years to come. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲: https://lnkd.in/gddzJ4t5
