Today, we recognize National Latina Equal Pay Day. Nationally, Latinas experience a 49¢ wage gap compared to white men. In Greater Boston, the wage gap widens to 52¢, according to the BWWC's 2023 data. The #WageGap cannot be excused by education, experience, or perceived choices. Even in states with large populations of Latinas in the workforce, rampant wage disparities persist, with devastating consequences for Latinas and their families. #LatinaEqualPay #Trabajadoras

About us
The Boston Women’s Workforce Council (BWWC) leads a unique public-private partnership between the Mayor’s Office of Women’s Advancement and Greater Boston area employers dedicated to eliminating the gender/racial wage gap. We do so by measuring, analyzing, and reporting on the gap. We believe if you don't see it, you can't change it.

"The lives of working disabled women are complex. Many factors impact how we show up at work and how much we earn, like the types of disabilities we have, our age, our racial identities, our educational background, where we live, if we are working for subminimum wages, our gender identities, and more. It’s important that we have data on work and disability that takes into account every part of our identities and better reflects these intersections." Join us in recognizing the first ever #DisabledWomensEqualPayDay!
