Some of our team was able to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for a new small business in The Bronx -- The Roasting Room by Buunni Coffee! The Roasting Room brings together coffee shop owners, retailers and businesses to roast coffee, foster community, and share coffee education. Coffee business owners can avoid the difficulties of buying your own roasting equipment by using theirs! Buunni Coffee opened an ambitious new multi-purpose coffee space called The Roasting Room on Thursday, where they will roast coffee, offer co-roasting services and provide coffee education in the Hunts Point neighborhood of the Bronx in New York City, according to a press release. The space will be a hub for coffee fans and folks working in the industry, featuring two Loring Kestrel S35 and the packing equipment to roast over 14,000 pounds of coffee a day. "We are thrilled to bring The Roasting Room by Buunni to the South Bronx community. This space embodies our passion for coffee history, culture and craftsmanship, and our commitment to leveling the playing field in the specialty coffee industry." said Bunnii Coffee co-founder Sarina Prabasi.
