Our mission is to facilitate and extend the culture that has issued from the Burning Man event into the larger world.
About us
The nonprofit Burning Man Project provides the essential infrastructure of Black Rock City, and works year round to bring Burning Man culture to the world and the 10 Principles to life. But it does not do this alone. Burning Man has given rise to a global network of communities that produce more than 90 official Burning Man events and create a range of initiatives based on the 10 Principles. Burning Man Project connects and empowers this creative ecosystem of builders, makers, doers, and community leaders through grants, education and training initiatives, and art and civic engagement programs like Burners Without Borders and the Fly Ranch Project.

Inspired by the theme, Black Rock City’s Man Pavilion serves as the foundation upon which the Man will rise. “The Other,” designed by Jen Lewin, nests curious chambers beneath its tentacles. Let's take a moment to appreciate the visionaries who have come together to create a unique experience for the burners gathering on the playa this year. These artists have remarkable stories that fueled their creativity and determination—some were at breaking points in their life journeys, while others were driven by curiosity to explore new ways to connect with their inner mysticism. Their creativity and resilience have led to the creation of a pavilion that will leave us in awe. These dedicated burners exemplify leadership through their commitment to pushing boundaries and inspiring us all. ✨ Have you encountered any of them or seen their art pieces on the playa? How did their creativity and leadership impact you when you first experienced their work? #burningman #blackrockcity #brc #10principles #thankslarry #manpavilion #cultureofcreativity

Burning Man inspires people to explore and create art. The ripples of impact often extend well beyond artists’ creative endeavors. Many Burners who become artists are now teachers and leaders who install their awe-inspiring work well beyond Burning Man’s ephemeral events and cities, in permanent communities around the world. These works reach people who may never have heard of Burning Man, opening minds to new creative vistas. Meet three fascinating artists — Valerie Mallory, NiNo Alicea and Jen Lewin — whose creative journeys took them from Black Rock City to the world. 🌎 Follow the link to read up on their creativity ➡️: https://lnkd.in/gKEwYvSF #burningman #blackrockcity #brc #10principles #thankslarry #manpavillion #cultureofcreativity
