Build UP is the nation’s first and only workforce development model that provides low-income youth with career-ready skills through paid apprenticeships with industry-aligned secondary and early-postsecondary academic coursework, leading them to become educated, credentialed, and empowered civic leaders, workers, homeowners and landlords. Yesterday we kicked off exciting work to share CaseMaking skills with the 2020 and 2023 winners of Enterprise Community Partners and Wells Fargo's Housing Affordability Breakthrough Challenge. We've only met them virtually, but we can see why they're winners! These 12 organizations know that if we want to address our housing challenges through abundant housing that makes a better future possible for all, we've got to put smart, innovative solutions in place to increase access. And we've got to create structural change that achieves equity.
