    What an incredible afternoon at the Crystal Tea Room! We kicked the afternoon sessions off with a powerful Keynote Address from Rebecca L Grant, DVM, DVM, Senior Director of Life Sciences & Innovation for the City of Philadelphia, who shared how the city is driving life sciences innovation to fuel economic growth. 💡 Next, we delved into Investing in Growth – Innovative Workforce Development Programs, where a diverse panel showcased the success stories shaping Philadelphia’s life sciences workforce. Moderated by Sharon Willis, VP Sales and Customer Relations, Integral Molecular, speakers Maurie SmithDavid ZuzgaAdrian AdamsMaya HeilandAlana O'Reilly, and Kara Spiller, Ph.D. shared valuable insights on how the region is preparing the next generation of skilled professionals to keep Philly at the forefront of innovation. The afternoon continued with a deep dive into the State of the Philadelphia Life Sciences Market, moderated by Nelson Way of the Navy Yard. Industry leaders Lauren GilchristAnthony MaherTim Conrey, and Joe Colletti explored Philly’s life sciences sector, discussing both the opportunities and challenges on the horizon. We wrapped up with a thought-provoking Fireside Chat on Philly 2025 Life Sciences Outlook, led by Alex Philippidis of Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News.     What an inspiring series of mid-morning discussions! We started with a powerful panel on Financing Successes and Leading Investment Opportunities, where two life science companies that secured significant funding shared their insights. Moderated by John Pennett, Partner in Charge of National Technology and Life Sciences at Eisner Advisory Group EisnerAmper, the session explored the unique science driving these companies forward and how they’re overcoming today’s regulatory and financial challenges. Featured speakers included Jang-Ho Cha, Chief Scientific and Medical Officer at Latus Therapeutics, and Josh Muntner, CFO at Imvax, Inc.. We were moved by the Patient Perspective Keynote, where Michael A. Riotto and Richard Armstrong, Myeloma Coaches with HealthTree Foundation Foundation, shared how the HealthTree Cure Hub is transforming lives by connecting patients and researchers in the fight against blood cancer. Their work is not only extending lives—it’s driving the search for a cure. Next, the Startup Spotlights panel showcased the leaders behind Philadelphia’s top accelerators and incubators. Moderated by Louis Kassa, CEO of the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center, the discussion highlighted the strategies powering the city’s rapid growth in life sciences. Featured speakers included Matthew BurkhardtRobert ChristmasMelina BleesSarajane BlairTracy BralaDenita L. HendersonTomas Isakowitz, and Stephen Nappi. It was thrilling to hear how these innovators are accelerating growth and shaping the future of life sciences in Philly! Finally, we wrapped up the late morning with an insightful session, How Does Philly Compare? Discussing Incubator Growth and Development Nationally, led by Matt Gardner, Managing Director at CBREDanielle Bogdanowicz of BioLabs and Pete Cramer of Wexford Science & Technology, LLC discussed how incubators are driving growth in multiple national markets and how Philadelphia compares. It was an exciting morning of insights and innovation, further solidifying Philadelphia’s growing prominence in the life sciences sector.
