⚡️“Total Garbage” is totally fascinating⚡️ In the book Total Garbage by Ed Humes, the chapter on induction stoves explores one of the most fascinating advancements in modern cooking technology. Humes dives into its history, discovering that the science behind induction is not new. In fact, it traces back to Michael Faraday’s groundbreaking 1831 discovery of electromagnetic induction—a principle that revolutionized our ability to generate and use electricity. 📚 Read more about the history of induction and our featured chefs here! Huge kudos to Panama Bartholomy and the Building Decarbonization Coalition team for helping to pass #SB1221! This bill directs the CPUC to evaluate whether electrification is more cost effective than gas line replacements on a case by case basis, and establish up to 30 pilot project neighborhoods. And critically, it creates a neighborhood electrification framework that bypasses the "obligation to serve" that currently prevents these programs from existing. Amazing work!
