🐾 Raising future heroes: Meet Jennifer Milinsky and Josephine 🐾 When she’s not managing revenue cycles, Jennifer Milinsky dedicates her time to an extraordinary cause—raising puppies for Canine Companions. Currently, she’s nurturing a Labrador retriever named Josephine, or Jo for short, who joined her life at just 10 weeks old. Jennifer’s goal is to prepare Jo for a future as a service or facility dog. One of Jo’s favorite activities is accompanying Jennifer to work at the Baylor Scott & White Administrative Center in Dallas, where she enjoys attention and socialization. They also attend puppy classes to learn basic skills and manners, with Jennifer providing lots of love and care. Come August, Jo will head to professional training at the Canine Companions at Baylor Scott & White Health – Kinkeade Campus in Irving. Since 2015, Canine Companions and Baylor Scott & White have partnered to provide service dogs at no cost to adults, children and veterans with disabilities, enhancing their independence. His co-handler, Meeghan Abraham, pharmacy manager at Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – Denton, is working on ideas to incorporate him during communication on medication and discharge info – to help create triggers to remind patients what they have learned. ❤️🐾

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Grapevine’s Called to Love diversity council hosted a heartfelt service this past week. Keynote speaker Gloria Gay, RN, an inspiration with 51 years of nursing experience, delivered a powerful message reflecting on the past, present, and future. She emphasized the importance of striving for a community where diversity, equity, and inclusion are one language and highlighted the need for collective effort to make a difference. "I love nursing,” Gay said. “I am passionate about taking care of people. I have devoted 51 years of my life to this profession with no regrets. I am determined to leave it better than when I started, but I cannot do that by myself. It takes all of us to tackle the issues we face. We must all see the value of diversity, equality, inclusion, and belonging."
