🏙️ Calling all young engineers! Join us TODAY for the launch of our new STEM project, "Build A Skyscraper," in our Nature's Engineers makerspace! You have 30 minutes to design and build your own skyscraper. How tall can you make it? But the real question is: can it survive our earthquake shake table? 🫨🫨🫨 During this workshop, you'll: - Learn about the bedrock that makes NYC's skyline possible - Construct your own skyscraper using various materials - Test its earthquake resistance on our shake table - Refine and improve your design. Did it fall? Strengthen it! Still standing? Make it taller! Bonus: learn about soil layers, explore rocks and geodes from BCM's mineral collection, and challenge yourself to create the tallest, strongest structure. Last Thursday was one for the books! We were honored to see our community come together for a joyous night that truly captured the magic of Brooklyn Children's Museum.
