We couldn't let October pass us by without celebrating our incredible customer service teams! Official Customer Service Week (October 7-11) was a busy time at Brentwood, so we opted to hold our celebration last week. The group enjoyed meals and a happy hour as well as some much-deserved massages. Thank you for everything you do, day in and day out, to make sure our customers get the best!

“Second chances are not given to make things right but to prove we can be better even after a fall.” Connections Work is a local non-profit that gives second chances! They help individuals who have been involved with the justice system reintegrate into society. Yesterday, a group of Brentwood employees had the unique opportunity to walk through what it's like to return to society after being incarcerated. Thank you to Connections Work and many of our friends at United Way of Berks County, Leadership Berks, Reading Public Museum, and New Castle Lawn & Landscape for making this event possible!

Thank you to the ten Brentwood team members who participated in yesterday's Day of Caring, led by the United Way of Berks County! Our group helped to support the Cultivating Community Garden initiative in the Oakbrook neighborhood, where 70 families have grown over 1,200 pounds of food since April 2021! For Day of Caring, we helped to spread mulch, create space between plots, and trim trees to prepare for the fall season 🌱💚

Recognizing Brentwood's own, Jenny Perry, who always rises to the challenge for her community! Over the next 3 months, Brentwood is loaning Jenny to the United Way of Berks County, where she'll be actively promoting their important work. She shared, “I love to learn about our community and share everything I’ve learned with anyone who wants to listen. It makes me feel like I’m making a difference.” Jenny is also a Leadership Berks graduate, serves on the board of the Berks Youth Chorus, and is an active committee member for Rock Hollow Woods. (She's pictured here at the YMCA on Washington Street, in front of a mural she helped to paint a few years ago during United Way's Day of Caring).

We are thankful there were no injuries to any Brentwood employees following a fire that caused significant damage to our Wettringen, Germany, manufacturing facility on August 30, 2024. Brentwood is actively working with local authorities to investigate the cause of the fire, and we remain committed to upholding the highest safety standards across all our operations. We are also working to minimize disruption to our customers by implementing contingency plans to ensure continuity of service.
