Branch is a free, nonpartisan website that informs voters on their federal, state, and local elections.
About us
We get it: ballots are a lot. State and local offices carry massive power to change our society, but it's almost impossible to make good decisions for these elections. Properly researching ballots takes hours, and even then, information on candidates is hard to find and is often biased. Branch's mission is to change the world through making non-presidential candidates accessible, digestible, and convenient. We're creating a unique podcast experience that quickly informs voters on their districts' candidates. We're also empowering campaigns to connect with more voters and solve major roadblocks, such as fundraising.

Every election, we show up to vote and attempt to decipher dozens of offices and referendums. But imagine how much harder it would be… in another language. This is exactly what hundreds of thousands of first generation voters experience, especially those from Georgia's growing AAPI communities. Thankfully, Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Atlanta and Branch teamed up to solve this problem and empower thousands of Georgia voters with in-language, nonpartisan candidate information. "One of the biggest questions we receive at the door or just talking to voters is, who are the candidates? Who should I vote for?” as explains Berenice Rodriguez, Civic Engagement & Organizing Director at Advancing Justice-Atlanta. Advancing Justice-Atlanta used Branch’s Ballot Builder product to provide content in 10 different languages. 🗳️ I'm thrilled that Atlanta Civic Circle has again partnered with Leroy Chapman Jr. and the AJC team to launch Georgia Decides, a free, nonpartisan voter guide. It's live now, just in time for the May 21 primary; early voting is underway. A few points of pride: → For the first time, the guide is available statewide and is free for partner newsrooms. → We put more emphasis on the user experience, partnering with Walter Ley at Branch Politics to make it a breeze for voters to research candidates regardless of which ballot they select. → A reader survey informed the candidate questionnaire. ACC has more surveys planned leading up to the Nov. election. Big thanks to Sharif Durhams, Charles Minshew, Nicole Williams, Brian Ikeda, and so many others on the Georgia Decides team for bringing the guide to life.

It's election season! And odd-years aren't off-years. It was a pleasure catching up with Hypepotamus and sharing about how Branch Politics is making sure more voters across the country have an easy way to understand what's on their ballot. Especially in odd years, most people get to decide who will lead their local governments. Check out the article here: https://lnkd.in/g_aW54R5 Thanks Maija Ehlinger for the piece!
