🚀 Today, we’re officially launching Bountiful OS! 📊 OS is an operating system designed for agriculture, helping you measure what matters on the farm. Bringing together all your important data in one place: production, bearing acres, yield, quality, field locations, benchmarking, costs, pricing, emissions, forecasting, and more. Automated end-to-end using AI. We digitize all your field metadata, automate and extract your PDF reports related to processing/quality/production/test/samples, and display these changes over time. Having all your historical farm data in one place brings you advantages; here are some of the ways that our customers have benefitted from OS. 🦾 “Bountiful’s OS platform has significantly improved our organizational efficiency and yield projections.” “Bountiful OS has saved us countless hours of harvest data entry. Before Bountiful OS, our harvest was tracked across several Excel files, and was difficult to do in-depth analysis. Now that we can simply download our harvest data into an easy-to-read format and have OS’s awesome dashboard we can spend more time doing in-depth analysis of our yields.” “It centralized all of our data into one location in an easy-to-access format. Best of all, the benchmarking allows us to analyze the data to see how our management practices compared to others in our area. It turned disorganized data into a strategic resource!” Lastly, our anonymous opt-in benchmarking tool allows you to compare yourself to peers in their area by crop age, farm type, county, etc. 👀🔎 Sign up to get access to OS and start measuring what matters on your farm. https://lnkd.in/djHqyEwR

"With symptomatic trees seen in multiple orchards across Madera, Merced, San Joaquin and Stanislaus counties, Trouillas said RLB is already “somewhat widespread.”
Red leaf blotch (RLB) caused by the fungal pathogen Polystigma amygdalinum is one of the most important leaf diseases currently affecting almond trees in the Mediterranean basin, particularly in Spain, and regions of the Middle East. In late May 2024 in California, unusual symptoms on leaves, including yellow spots and orange to dark red-brown blotches, were detected in an almond orchard on the border of Merced and Madera counties. The disease has since been observed in Madera, Merced, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus Counties, suggesting that the disease is somewhat widespread in the Northern San Joaquin Valley. To read more check the article on current understanding at https://lnkd.in/gZs5a_2S on the San Joaquin Valley Trees and Vines. If you suspect that you have this new disease in your almond orchard, please contact your local UC Cooperative Extension farm advisor. Photos credited to Alejandro Hernandez and Florent Trouillas. The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation announced last week that they are increasing the water allocation for Central Valley Project (CVP) South of Delta contractors from 40% to 50%. "This announcement provides much-needed- relief and is good news for our growers. Even so, the low water supply allocations announced earlier in this contract year, after a relatively wet winter that filled the reservoirs and lifted the state officially out of drought conditions, single-handedly demonstrate the critical and urgent need to improve water management transparency and accountability in the state of California" Read more at https://lnkd.in/ghNijzZB #CAwx #water #california #farming #agriculture
