Happy Disability Pride Month! Disability pride is defined as accepting and honoring each person’s uniqueness, and seeing it as a natural and beautiful part of human diversity. Play can be a powerful tool to welcome and celebrate different ways of engagement! The Museum strives to create accessible and inclusive environment through programs, exhibits, and staff training at all times! But if anyone needs some extra support, the Museum’s Morningstar Access program is one way for children with disabilities and other special/medical needs to visit the Museum at a time when there are only a few other visitors. Move and groove with us this Sunday from 1-2:30pm for Movement Jamboree, a FREE outdoor experience that encourages children to move all parts of their bodies in different ways! Try the long jump or roll, bean bag toss, mini-hurdles, baton pass, and more! Physical activity enhances children's physical literacy, building a base of knowledge that will help them to make informed choices regarding their own physical activity at all stages of their lives. This program is presented in collaboration with Boston Athletic Association and Boston Public Schools.
