Congratulations to Gene Urban, who retires today after 33 years of service to Bluebonnet and its members. Throughout his career, Gene was responsible for maintaining Bluebonnet’s facilities. He began as a technician and is retiring today as Bluebonnet’s manager of facilities. In his retirement, Gene plans to work on his farm, fish and travel. We wish him all the best!

The $2,500 scholarships were awarded to students across Bluebonnet’s 14-county service area who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree, an associate’s degree or a trade-and-technical certificate.
