“Expanding access to our international program has been a priority for the entire BLUE team because we know first-hand the transformative power of service immersion. Our partnership with Voices For Children Foundation pushes the boundaries on what we know to be possible.Being able to facilitate and lead service trips for youth in foster care has been some of the most fulfilling work that I’ve ever been involved in. It’s incredible to witness the transformation that takes place throughout our time in the campo and our hope is that volunteers return home knowing that they are loved and are being called to use their special gifts and talents to make an impact.I’ve led dozens of missions and I learn something new every time. This past service project with Voices For Children has reaffirmed my belief that we can all do hard things and we have a responsibility to be the voice for the voiceless.” - Daniel Rodriguez, BLUE Missions Cofounder and CEO

We are grateful to make an impact with the BLUE fam this summer in the Dominican Republic and in our backyard. This month we connected with our community in so many ways at our events giving them the BLUE experience! Check out what we have been up to: 💧 Spent our Saturday morning fundraising while getting our health and wellness on at our first "Sweat for Water"event at Wellhouse Collective! 💧 Connected & networked with over 100 supporters at the beautiful Bay 13 Brewery and Kitchen located in City of Coral Gables. Our Co-Founder & CEO, Daniel Rodriguez, shared a few updates on our organization and shared more about our "Water for All" program. We are grateful to continue to share our purpose while giving access to those who are in need of clean water and sanitation. Stay tuned for more community events! Can't support a local event? We extend our heartfelt thanks to ESNJ and Craig Alsdorf, founder of ESNJ, for their generous donation towards our water project in Los Cuncunes, Puerto Plata. Thanks to their support, we are making a significant impact in this rural community. Los Cuncunes, part of Yasica district, has 39 families and 126 residents, including 41% women and 34% children. Lack of reliable water access affects their health and education, especially for the children. This project addresses the community's urgent need for a sustainable water system and improved piping. Engineers have designed a new system with PVC pipes to ensure reliable water supply. We also acknowledge our partnership with the Coalition of Disaster Responders (CDR) who continue to show their commitment with BLUE Missions. If you are interested in sponsoring a project like this or joining our monthly giving campaign, "The Source" please contact VP of International Trips, Jorge Rodriguez (Chiqui) for more information. Together, we are transforming lives with clean water. Thank you once again to Craig Alsdorf from ESNJ for their commitment to improving lives through connecting people to clean water. Together we are creating lasting change in Los Cuncunes! #WaterForAll #CommunityImpact Contact Information: Email: [email protected] Phone Number: (786) 282-1011 Click here to learn more about The Source: https://shorturl.at/IzG82 Click here to learn more about ESNJ: https://esnj.com Click here to learn more about Coalition of Disaster Responders (CDR): https://shorturl.at/XM2Gi

This week marks the launch of our second year of CauseCamps, where over 120 campers between 6th and 8th grade are learning to become sustainable leaders while having fun! Week 1 has been a success so far as our campers explored The Everglades Foundation National Park where they hiked the swamps with rangers and explored Greynolds Park. We're thrilled to continue empowering the next generation with environmental stewardship. Stay tuned for more updates on their exciting journey. Thank you Andre Dunand for contributing your time and talent by serving as a chaperone on a BLUE service trip. A chaperone's role is to help create a safe space where volunteers can reflect, learn, and serve. When volunteers combine these three actions, it helps them begin the journey to finding their purpose. Over 35 chaperones will join us in 2024 to mentor and support our youth as they experience their life-shaping service trip. As detailed by Andre's testimony, the BLUE experience impacts everyone involved. The work we do is not always easy but it's always worth it. Service takes time, talent, effort, sacrifice, and commitment but rewards you with true happiness and purpose. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you are interested in joining BLUE Missions as a chaperone in 2025. #waterforall #waterforever #volunteer #chaperone #servicetrip #immersion

What a great past week with BLUE Missions helping provide clean water and bathrooms for families in the campo of Gualete Arriba of the Dominican Republic. An amazing experience as always coming back with perspectives and lessons learned. A few things I reflected on while on during my time out there: 1. Clean water is not accessible to everyone. We are so grateful to have water at our disposal whenever we want 2. Electricity and AC are a blessing. Imagine sitting in 90 degrees every day with no AC. 3. Happiness is not determined by what you have, but by your faith, the people around you, and celebration of the simple things in life. The people of the campo are some of the happiest and most grateful people I’ve met. They are blessed to be with their families every day, they love the land they use every day and keep their faith close to them. 4. To give you do not have to have a lot. Sharing can come in so many different forms. The campo is one of the most generous groups of people who will share their home, their food, their time, and their stories with you. They enjoy to give and that’s what makes them happy. 5. The land and the earth provide so many resources for us. We can gather so much from the land around us and we take for granted growing our own crops, food, and essentials. 6. We are blessed to have the life we live. Be grateful for all that you have. From a roof over your head, to the coffee you drink in the morning, to the water you drink. We have everything we need AND MORE. Be grateful, be frugal, and be willing to give. 7. There is a TON of need in the world. If you have any little that you can give, please be inclined to find a group or organization that you can be a part of to life a life of purpose and giving. There is so much we can do for others, let us all join together to give a helping hand 🤝❤️ #aquaesvida #bluemissions #service #givingback #community #actsofservice
