Empowering, Educating and Reengaging black people to the outdoors

About us

Empowering, educating and reengaging black people to the outdoors through wellness campaigns, health advocacy and community based activities including, hiking, camping and kayaking. Black People Who Hike was founded by Debbie Njai in September of 2019 after venturing out on her first hike. What started as a therapeutic outlet for herself, quickly turned into a global movement. #WeHikeToo is a movement to get black people active outside in nature. Nature is a free resource and we are committed to making the outdoors more equitable for everyone. For business inquires contact us at [email protected]
