The University of Missouri-Kansas City's Advanced Standing Dental Education program is opening doors for internationally trained dentists to practice in the U.S. UMKC received 380 applications for the nine spots available in its first class. These practitioners represent a critical influx of oral health care providers who can address the shortage of oral health care providers in Missouri, where 111 counties are considered underserved, according to the Rural Health Information Hub. https://lnkd.in/gk6AZbSJ
