Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) is the entity responsible for gas infrastructure in the country. GNI has over 𝟕𝟎𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲; however, market development is necessary to meet demand and GNI contributes by covering 70% of the grid connection costs for potential producers.
