October is Sensory Processing Awareness Month Sensory Processing Disorder is a condition in which the brain has trouble responding to and receiving information coming from the senses. This condition often goes undiagnosed, but can get on an SLP’s radar as kids are often hard to engage with in conversation or appear to react strongly in normal situations but yelling, having difficulty adjusting, or running away. The trick is to be on the lookout for sensory triggers such as temperature, noise, or getting wet from weather or a spill. #speechpathology #speechtherapy

Freedom from the Anchoring Effect: When Numbers Work Against Us Almost without exception, speech language pathologists are constantly looking for more numerical and better data.
