How does trauma shape the support a young person needs when preparing for the workforce? As Byron K. Sanders shared, while trauma can create a gap between youth and workplace norms, it can also affect social and emotional aspects of the workplace. A trauma-informed approach aims to equip youth with the skills they need while acknowledging past experiences. This panel hosted by American Student Assistance brought together insights from Big Thought, The Hidden Genius Project and Flare Education to explore how we can ensure all youth have the experiences, resources & skills they need. Our consulting and professional learning team, Big Thought Institute, recently collaborated with Knomadix and Desoto ISD to implement an AI-integrated learning environment across the school district. To support the integration, Big Thought Institute focused on cultivating a positive culture and strengthening instructional practices.
