5 things you might not know about mental health equity 🧠✊🏾✊🏽✊🏿✊🏼 1️⃣ It's not just about access to therapy: True equity means culturally responsive care that breaks down systemic barriers. 2️⃣ Representation matters in research: Diverse representation in mental health studies leads to more effective, real-life solutions. 3️⃣ Cultural trauma impacts well-being: Historical trauma has a lasting impact; healing and support for marginalized communities are crucial. 4️⃣ Mental health equity is economic justice: Investing in BIPOC mental health is not only a moral imperative, it's an economic one. 5️⃣ Community-based solutions are key: Culturally rooted healing, community networks, and peer-led initiatives play a vital role in addressing disparities. This BIPOC Mental Health Month, let's move beyond awareness to actively listen, learn, challenge stigma, and empower change. #MentalHealthEquity #BIPOCMentalHealth

What a fantastic experience at the National Association of Counties (NACo) Annual Conference in Hillsborough County, FL! We are especially excited about the impactful work of the NACo Commission on Mental Health and Wellbeing, which released its groundbreaking findings and recommendations during the conference. Launched in February 2023, this commission is already making a significant impact by strengthening NACo's response to the nation's escalating mental and behavioral health crisis. The commission's call to action is clear: our nation needs innovative solutions to address the shortage of direct service providers in many counties. At Big Health, we believe that our digital therapeutics are a crucial part of this puzzle. By making mental health support accessible to everyone, regardless of location, we're helping communities across the country. These county leaders are committed to finding effective solutions, and we are eager to partner with them to help their communities thrive. Together, we can make a real difference and help millions back to good mental health. Check out the NACo Commission's final report findings here: https://lnkd.in/gq4SJz2h If you missed booth time with Jennifer Schlecht or are interested in learning more about how we can support your community's mental health needs, please reach out! #MentalHealth #DigitalTherapeutics #BigHealth #NACo #CommunityHealth #MentalWellbeing #BehavioralHealth

Should social media platforms have warning labels about the potential impact on mental health?
