October is National Depression and Mental Health Screening Month. Did you know that 15% of American teens are affected by major depression? That's 3.7 million kids, or almost the population totals of West Virginia, Maine, and South Dakota combined! Depression in teens can be hard to spot and even harder to treat, but we are here to help. We provide compassionate and comprehensive behavioral health services for children and adolescents ages 5 through 18. For a no-cost assessment, give us a call at 330-759-2700. #BeThere

Recently, we had some new little ones at our PRTF Cottage! Our staff found these adorable baby bunnies living in the yard. Our Director of UR, Jenny M., made sure that they have a new home on her farm until they are ready to return to the woods. Jenny will keep our staff and children updated with photos and videos so that we can watch them as they grow!

Patient safety and outcomes are critical areas of focus for our dedicated team. That is why we are excited to share that yesterday we celebrated one year of ObservSMART. This proximity-based safety system allows our staff to clearly observe and document patient safety checks. Essis V. was crowned the ObservSMART Champ with over 80,000 observations—an incredible year of keeping our kids safe! To celebrate our year of success, staff was treated to a pizza lunch in the new lounge. #TeamWork #ServiceExcellence

Our children at our PRTF Cottage facility have been working on using creativity for self-expression and coping. This month they created collages of animals and nature that they identify with or that inspire them! #ArtTherapy

Congratulations to Manny M., our August #EmployeeOfTheMonth! His fellow employees describe Manny as "a very hard-working person. He takes pride in what he does, and it shows how much he truly cares about the children. He knows how to cheer staff and children up when they are having a bad day. If I ask for help, I know he will show up and help." Thank you for a job well done! #ServiceExcellence
