Last week in Austin, AT&T and Boys & Girls Clubs of America celebrated a significant milestone with the opening of AT&T’s 50th Connected Learning Center (CLC) at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area. This achievement is part of AT&T’s $5B commitment to help 25M people get and stay connected by 2030. It also marked the 20th CLC opening inside a Boys & Girls Club, paving the way for a special announcement: 40 total technology spaces in Boys & Girls Clubs by 2027! 💻 📶 🌐 Learn more: https://bit.ly/3WA9QMB

Through the Think, Learn, Create Change (TLC) initiative, our Club teens across the nation are learning how to advocate for what they believe in to help make the world a better place! Over 70 TLC Clubs visited Washington, D.C. to meet with government leaders about their advocacy projects last week. Family Dollar helped make this possible! We are thankful for their ongoing commitment by investing in our next generation of leaders!

We’re thrilled to unveil a new teen center and recording studio at Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County’s North Fort Worth site, thanks to Major League Baseball (MLB) and Texas Rangers Baseball Club! This space features a sports court, art & STEM lab, business development area, and an updated music room sponsored by country superstar, Kane Brown. 🎤🎶 The event included performances by Club teens and a wiffle ball game with Kane. A surprise addition to the renovation, Chevrolet donated a 2025 Suburban which will support the Club's transportation needs. 🚗 We also honored Boys & Girls Clubs of Tarrant County’s North Fort Worth's Youth of the Year, Xaria S., who delivered the game ball at the All-Star game with actor Luke Wilson. ⚾ It was a true celebration of community and youth empowerment!

Congratulations to Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada for winning the Changemaker Challenge at our annual Summit for America's Youth! The Changemaker Challenge is a Shark Tank-style competition where 3 finalist Clubs pitch their advocacy project to an esteemed panel of judges who ask questions about their motivations, advocacy methods, and outcomes. Through their partnership with the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth (NPHY), the Club's project is focused on building out resource fairs to address youth homelessness. Their goal is to connect homeless youth to resources and additional community support! Learn more about youth advocacy: https://bit.ly/3W4RTEt
