Next week, Asha Echeverria will be speaking at the SIGA North America Building Up: Women in Construction event, speaking about paying it forward to the women who are up and coming in the industry. Not long ago, Asha reflects, she was “up and coming,” and now with 20 years of experience in the construction industry as both a licensed professional engineer and an attorney, she is looking forward to sharing her perspective. “Similar to Bernstein Shur’s annual Women in Construction and Project Development event, this is another opportunity to widen the tent of women in this industry,” said Asha. “Women need to see women, both ahead of them and behind them on their career path, and this is a great opportunity for me to see that spectrum and step into my role along the line.” Learn more here: https://bit.ly/3Yciwda

#ICYMI Real Estate Practice Group Shareholder, Suzanne Breselor Lowell, sat down with Dan Lampariello from WGME CBS13 to discuss how municipalities assess properties for tax purposes. Using her experience as a former real estate agent and now commercial real estate attorney who manages transactions with substantial tax implications, Suzanne noted that the assessment process is complex and should take into account “all features” of the property.
