We are excited to announce the launch of the Lakeshore HBA Trades Scholarship! The Lakeshore HBA Trades Scholarship will award at least five students $1,000 for the purchase of tools, work gear, safety equipment or other items needed for the pursuit of a trades career. The Workforce Development Committee will review all applications in February and make a determination based on need, opportunity and desire to pursue a trades career within the Lakeshore HBA territory. If you know someone who would benefit from this scholarship, that is considering residential trades career options, please share this opportunity! Application deadline is January 31st 2025. We look forward to increasing our workforce development efforts and eventually offering members an opportunity to sponsor a Lakeshore HBA Trades Scholarship. On this day 42 years ago, Bekins’ Appliance Service extended to our first retail store in Grand Haven.
