what happens when a faceless, viral chef starts a newsletter? meet David: self taught chef, baker, and content creator👇 he crafts the most satisfying recipe videos on everything from garlic naan to pistachio ice cream to mango panna cotta thousands of these recipes live on his YouTube channel with 3M subscribers & in his newsletter sent to over 20k readers The Cooking Foodie became the go-to spot for healthy and easy recipes so when David began to monetize his newsletter, he did what any chef and writer would do: promote his very own cookbook his eCookbook, Joyful Kitchen, is a digital product that's included in almost every edition: 👉 newsletter subscribers get exclusive discounts on the cookbook 👉 he can accept one-time payments directly from beehiiv check out his newsletter with the link in the comments!

If you ever get interviewed by someone, make sure they call out all the side projects you never completed. I had that experience this week with Creator Spotlight, the excellent beehiiv newsletter about the creator economy. That they chose to talk to me, the guy who constantly complains about platforms, is pretty cool. Francis Zierer did the work here and ended up telling a really interesting story that found some really fascinating angles. I’m not really a data-obsessed guy, and I’m not trying to bring in thousands of new subscribers every month. I’m just trying to do good work that lives up to a high standard. Admittedly, I was curious about how that would look, given how data driven Creator Spotlight is, and focusing on accountability and track record is a pretty cool way to do it. Anyway, check out Creator Spotlight. They do good interviews. EDIT: Find it here: https://bit.ly/4c0y1rO

BDR @ beehiiv - helping newsletters grow make $$$ / Growing pipeline via videos, memes and pokemon cards
a refreshing video to break up your Thursday Liquid Death - you’ve got some of the best marketing in the game rn, so I called up Ozzy and we gameplanned a liquid death newsletter here on beehiiv (he’s super down for it, trust me) you’ve already got killer marketing and great emails, but with beehiiv you could be making even more from this through the ad network and retaining customers better through our advanced segmentation options or you could just advertise on tons of newsletters and make bread that way - or both (best option for sure👀) would love to do a no strings attached audit on your current email strategy and all the ways we could help ya out - watcha think? Ozzy is on board

this chef is growing his newsletter faster than you can say "fried chicken" Ethan Chlebowski is a chef and a YouTuber with over 2M subscribers one day you're asking your mom if you can microwave a turkey; after watching his videos, you'll be perfectly mincing a ginger knob for your Jamaican Curry beyond his YouTube, he writes a newsletter called The Mouthful with over 60k subscribers it's for home cooks to discover the "how" and "why" behind their cooking: what's the perfect stir-fry framework? how can you make a healthy beef broth at home? should you actually be storing your strawberries on the counter? one thing that helped him get to 60k subs: relentlessly cross-promoting his content it's simple: 👉 he embeds YouTube videos in his newsletter 👉 he shares his newsletter in every single video description this way, his subscribers (on YouTube and beehiiv) never miss his content in our opinion, you can never share your newsletter too much ;) read The Mouthful with the link in the comments!

Having my newsletter on beehiiv feels like I've got a bank that keeps adding a couple thousand dollars to my balance. It is like free money - Matt Navarra Geekout Newsletter on beehiiv has earned $25,000 solely from beehiiv Boosts. But, that is not it... Matt is a one-man band behind the newsletter. In this beehiiv case study we cover all of it and so much more! https://lnkd.in/gDqVwpCw

Building in Public Update #5 I hit 1000 Subscribers! Actually....1500 subscribers now 😮 This was such a huge accomplishment to hit (and one that I did not expect after 3 months of writing). It also marked my first-ever sponsored post thanks to beehiiv -- their employees use their product, and they use their own ad network for growth - the ultimate dogfooding. I only made $3.60 on this first send. Any revenue is promising :) I am excited for their ad network to grow and scale and allow creators to monetize seamlessly. Join the Improv at Work community in time for tomorrow (Friday) morning's newsletter - link in the first comment.
