A few of our Circuit 6 JDAP team recently participated in a BAYS in the community day on at Sim’s Park in New Port Richey. We assisted with supporting event attendees and maintaining cleanliness at the free pumpkin painting table during the third annual One Community Now Pack the Park for Pack a Sack - an annual event held raising funds to combat childhood hunger in Pasco County. One Community Now Pack-A-Sack Food 4 Kids is a kid-friendly school-based program designed to help address the problem of chronic hunger among school age children in Pasco County. They provide food for teacher-identified chronically hungry children over the weekend and extended breaks. Their program feeds over 1,500 children every weekend in 38 different Pasco County schools. It was a rewarding experience that allowed us to support local children and their families and strengthened our team’s camaraderie. We’re so proud and look forward to future opportunities to serve!

It is important to teach your youth about internet safety. Make sure they are aware of the dangers of being on the internet and risky sites that can be harmful. Talk about the importance of keeping private information off the internet such as their location and personal identifying information. Remind them to be cautious of their backgrounds and surroundings when posting pictures and videos.

FFT and JDAP teams up again in circuit 4 to assist The Giving Hope Project with care packages for students in the Jacksonville area. It is an honor to help an organization who is giving back to the community we serve. BAYS staff was able to assist with packing clothes, shoes and hygiene kits for the students. Great team work FFT and JDAP.

We could not be prouder of the BFC Gainesville team in the way that they demonstrated BAYS P.R.I.D.E during their 2-day training with Curtis Campogni. Curtis had this to say about the team and their supervisor Sheal’Tiel 🌟 "Their team radiates compassion, collaboration, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The office itself is a testament to fostering teamwork and empathy, but what stood out most was the way her team continuously expressed affirmations for Sheal'Tiel's leadership and support. Moreover, I was incredibly impressed by the proactive steps they've already taken to cultivate a positive culture within their team."

S.T.R.I.V.E. St. Johns' program was represented at the recent resource fair in St. Johns County held in conjunction with Child Welfare Worker Appreciation Week. During the event, Program Director Emily Courteaux had the opportunity to engage with community partners, share information about the S.T.R.I.V.E. program's initiatives and contributions, and highlight the community resources available to families in children residing in St. Johns County.
