Excited to share that I have completed my internship with Senator Tester's office this summer! Over the last 6 weeks, I have served as the Press Intern in the Senator's office and enjoyed getting to understand the inner workings of a press team in the Senate. While it was a crazy time to be in Washington DC, I will always look back at this summer and remember the amazing people I was lucky enough to work alongside and the professional development that the internship allowed for. I want to thank the Max S. Baucus Institute for this incredible opportunity and encourage everyone to take the time to check out the amazing work the Institute has done.

I had the incredible opportunity to participate in a cultural exchange program in China with the Max S. Baucus Institute, hosted by the Hangzhou Wanxiang Polytechnic. This month-long study abroad program focused on environmental and climate issues, and was part of the 100k initiative to increase the number of American students studying in China and strengthen our future relations. During my time in Beijing, Hangzhou, and Shanghai I had the chance to immerse myself in Chinese culture through language classes, visits to EV factories and power plants, lectures on legal and business practices, and even sightseeing trips to iconic landmarks like the Great Wall and the Grand Canal. I am grateful for the experience and the knowledge gained during this program, and I look forward to applying what I have learned to my future endeavors in environmental and climate advocacy. Introducing Ashlynn Everett, one of our 2024 Baucus Leaders! Ashlynn is originally from Missoula, MT and is currently a law student at the University of Montana. This summer, Ashlynn is spending two months working for the Friends of the Children in Missoula.

Introducing Brooke Bray, one of our 2024 Baucus Leaders! Brooke is originally from Ft Lauderdale, FL and is currently a student at the University of Montana. This summer, Brooke is spending two months working for the Montana League of Cities & Towns in Missoula.

Introducing Lila Bennett, one of our 2024 Baucus Leaders! Lila is originally from Missoula, MT and is currently a student at the University of Montana’s Alexander Blewett III School of Law. This summer, Lila is spending two months working for Missoula County.

Introducing Mikael Heydt, one of our 2024 Baucus Leaders! Mikael is originally from Missoula, MT and is currently a student at the University of Montana. This summer, Mikael is spending two months working with the Montana World Affairs Council in Missoula, MT.

Introducing Liliana Silver, one of our 2024 Baucus Leaders! Liliana is originally from Washington, DC and is a recent graduate of the University of Montana. This summer, Liliana is spending two months working with the Montana Budget and Policy Center in Helena, MT.

Introducing Damaris Addy, one of our 2024 Baucus Leaders! Damaris is originally from Tumwater, WA and is currently a student at the University of Montana. Damaris is spending two months this summer working with the American Indian Governance & Policy Institute (AIGPI)  in Missoula, MT.
