This Women’s History Month, we would like to shine a spotlight on Lesly Simmons, the mind behind the innovative, hands-on, popup experience, Dollhouse Day. The Dollhouse Project was created in 2023 and is on a mission to bring more play and diversity to children through dolls. Lesly’s goal is to help kids see themselves and their neighbors represented in the toys they play with every day. During Dollhouse Day events, each child in attendance gets a doll to keep, for free. The events are supported by grants and donations to make sure as many kids can participate as possible.
