AWT played a key role in renovating a large retail shopping center and managing the removal of over 203,000 tons of historic fill soils. We partnered with the environmental consultant to review soil analysis, develop a sampling protocol, and select disposal facilities. Including the use of licensed union transporters, we moved an average of 3,000–3,500 tons per day. Nearly 200,000 tons of soil were repurposed for beneficial reuse, while 3,000 tons were sent to a Subtitle-D landfill. 7,500 loads safely and efficiently removed—another successful project in the books! #wastedisposal #environmentalcontracting #siteremediation

Our New Jersey and Kansas offices recently converged in Overland Park for the Midwest Environmental Compliance Conference, spending a few days immersed in education and networking. We’re grateful for the warm welcome and the opportunity to engage with regulators, consultants, and vendors. A special congratulations to Kacie Barbarick, the newest member of our sales and marketing team, who did an outstanding job representing us at her first conference. We’re excited to see her continue to shine! AWT North America #consolidation #wastedisposal #environmentalcontracting #event

In our work, we deal with a lot of chemical names the general public has never heard of — trichloroethylene, polychlorinated biphenyls, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, etc. But working together with our environmental and construction partners, we not only know those chemicals but we know how to treat them, remove them, and properly dispose of them. AWT hosts a team of disposal experts, chemists, and construction managers who know exactly what to do when those long chemical names show up in a site report. Everything we deal with is a lot of work and a lot of syllables. That’s why we kept our company name short and memorable — AWT. #consolidation #wastedisposal #environmentalcontracting #siteremediation

When our partners need site remediation in New Jersey, they call AWT. Most old building sites will require some level of remediation. From contaminated soil to old construction materials to tank and drum removals, we do it all. Our trained team of environmental experts handle the complexity of tank removal and then the careful transportation of the tank to the proper disposal site. It’s a complicated job, but we’re happy to do it and do it well while keeping a project on time and on budget. #consolidation #wastedisposal #environmentalcontracting #siteremediation

The waste disposal industry is consolidating. Driven by the largest companies, the shrinking competition causes some major headaches for generators and their consultants, in the form of cost increases, project interruptions, and a downgrade in white glove service. At AWT, we understand how this new climate can make choices difficult for our customers. That’s why partnering with us takes the headache out of the process, as our relationships and the ability to employ a wide range of experience, skills, equipment, and manpower resources, all help make AWT a shining port in any storm. The EPA recently initiated a 90-day comment period for the potential designation of five high-priority substances under TSCA: acetaldehyde, acrylonitrile, benzenamine, vinyl chloride, and MBOCA. “EPA states that it is interested in comments that would inform the exposure and hazard assessments and the identification of conditions uf use (COU) for these chemicals.
